Based on curiosity, I installed Shared Computer Toolkit onto my laptop, and it created many problems. Some problems I could solve, but there was one that I had no idea of - that my home network was completely disrupted. I used XP Home, therefore there wasn't many settings I could see and change.

finally got around to installing that Shared Computer Toolkit and it works great! Did exactly what I was looking for. The first step, that Disk Protection or whatever with the partitioning, was a bit too complicated so I skipped it. But the rest of the tools I used just fine - thanks for the tips!
